I have hunted Boar Creek Ranch for six years and have had great success every year. The owners, Nick and Kelly Frame, are just the greatest. The accommodations and food, is second to none. We are treated with respect and I wouldn't hunt Hogs at any other ranch. I drive over 1,000 miles to hunt Boar Creek Ranch, so you can see, I really love the place. R. When Matt and I met the other folks in camp and discovered it was their 5th and 6th trips back to Boar Creek I knew this had to be a great place. After sampling the food, I think most folks come for the food and stay for the huntin'. The Friday night steaks on the grill with trimmings were excellent and the chocolate chip pecan pie topped it off in fine fashion. The Saturday morning country breakfast took care of the hungries and the smoked brisket and sausage Saturday night was a great end to a great day. The 250 pound Russian boar I took that evening didn't dampen the spirits either. I gained a new respect for these animals ... when a .270 Winchester won't penetrate both shoulders at 10 yards, you have a tough animal. Thankfully, he stayed down and I didn't have to climb a tree. I think Boar Creek is the best kept secret in hunting. Over the years I have dined in many great restaurants, but the food and atmosphere at Boar Creek is unsurpassed. Boar Creek is worth the trip regardless of whether you take an animal or not. You both made us feel like we were family. We will be back. I'm sending several pictures of the beautiful Russian boar. The things that I look for in my hunts is not always if I shoot something or not. Although the success rate at boar creek is very high! I look for a place to hunt that includes many if not all of the following attributes; I like to hunt where I feel treated as a valued customer and not just another hunter; I like to hunt where there is a good fellowship with the owners and the hired hands; I like to hunt where the food is worthy of a knife and fork and at boar creek that mark is far surpassed. Our group of hunters is booked for two hunts for the coming season. No one ever hesitates when asked if they are coming back. This will be our fifth consecutive year to hunt with Boar Creek. I have hunted in many of the western states as well as others in the midwest and in the south and I have narrowed my hunts to boar creek.
